Ali has planned, designed, and produced countless luxury destination weddings as a principal planner for a Hawaii-based firm. Her events have been featured in The Knot, Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake and more. Her mission for Kin Event Studio. Events are to create meaningful experiences for her couples that leave them with memories to last a lifetime.
Originally from Manhattan Beach, California, Ali spent most of her upbringing on the beaches of CA with annual family trips to Hawaii, her home away from home. She also spent four years living in Asia before attending and graduating from San Diego State University. Having spent those formative years aboard, her event planning process emphasizes the importance of cultural sensitivity and seamless pre-wedding communication to create an inviting and unforgettable destination wedding experience. She loves incorporating the couple’s unique love story and weaving in family, cultural or local traditions when appropriate or helping pave the way for new ones to emerge.
Prior to entering the wedding world, Ali began her career in luxury travel and marketing, providing her with the knowledge and tools to enhance her client and guest experiences, not just on the wedding day but with respect to their full wedding week experience while also enabling her to leverage technology throughout planning and for wedding branding opportunities.
After over 5 years living full time in Maui, Ali now splits her time between Hawaii and Utah with her husband, Zach, and their son, Rowan. When she’s not planning weddings, you can find her hiking in the mountains of Park City, frequenting the local farmer’s market or lounging by the ocean.
